Software from the Mac App Store

If you have downloaded an app from the Mac App Store, you don't have to do anything. It will work on Mountain Lion.

OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion

All our apps work perfectly with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion. But because of Apple's new Gatekeeper feature, it needs sometimes a few steps to launch an app for the first time in Maountain Lion. Please read this page if you want to run our apps with OS X Mountain Lion.

Correct System Preferences

If You have downloaded the app from our website, please make shure that you have the correct system configuration:

  1. Open the app System Preferences and choose Security & Privacy
  2. Make shure that Allow Applications Downloaded from: is set to Mac App Store and identified developers (default option) or Anywhere

Download our Apps again

Now you can start the app that you have downloaded. If that does not work (sceenshot on the left), you have to download the app again from our web site. All apps have received silent updates with the correct code signature that identifies us as a registered developer.

  1. Download the app again from http://www.fishbeam.com/software
  2. After reinstallation, the app will work

Apps from Unidentified Developers

If you don't want to download our apps again or if you have Fishbeam Clips purchased from our web site:

  1. Do a right click (ctrl-click) on the app and choose Open
  2. Click in the following dialogue on Open
